By using any tool on SaveFileEditors, you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.
The tools are provided as-is
Every editor is free, with no warranty of any kind. We validate every download before it's produced (see each tool's own FAQ for exactly what that check does), but we can't guarantee a specific value you enter will behave the way you expect inside your game — that depends on the game itself, not on this tool.
Back up your files
Always keep a copy of your original save file before editing. You are solely responsible for any loss of save data, whether or not it results from using this site.
Use it responsibly
These tools are built for editing your own local, single-player save data. Don't use them to violate the terms of service of any game you play, and don't use them in a way that affects other players in a multiplayer or online context. You're responsible for complying with whatever rules the game you're editing sets for itself.
No account, nothing to lose access to
There's no account and nothing to sign up for, so there's nothing for us to suspend or terminate. We may add, change, or retire individual tools at any time.
Limitation of liability
SaveFileEditors is provided free of charge, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any damages arising from your use of it — including corrupted saves, lost progress, or any consequence of a game's own response to an edited file.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the "last updated" date above will change with them. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the current terms.
